Special Use Permit
Undertaking specific uses in the Wetlands Conservation Overlay District requires a Special Use Permit. The application shall be referred to the Conservation Commission and the Health Officer, for review and comment at least thirty (30) days prior to the Planning Board’s public hearing.
To determine if the site in question is in a wetlands area, please refer to the Maps on the Town website. For any assistance with the application, the process or the maps, please feel free to contact the Land Use Office for assistance as well.
To provide increased clarity for those seeking Special Use Permits, the Conservation Commission will utilize a "checklist" as part of its review process to ensure that the material and information required in Section 9.7 of the Town Zoning Ordinance is complete and true as provided. Please read the Criteria for Decision and include a completed Checklist when filing a Special Use Permit.
