Breck-Plankey Spring is tested quarterly for coliform and E. Coli by the Bristol Conservation Commission. It is recommended to boil spring water for at least one minute before drinking or cooking to ensure safety.
 
To Limit Bacterial Contamination, Please:
  • Do NOT attach hoses or any items to the outlet pipe.
  • Do NOT touch or hold the pipe with your hands.
  • Do NOT hang containers from the pipe.
How to Collect Water Safely:
  • Use a clean, sanitized container.
  • Hold the container below the pipe to collect water without contact
  • Boil water for at least one minute and cool before drinking or cooking, per NH guidelines.

Please be courteous. If you are collecting more than 5 gallons of water, let those with smaller containers go ahead of you.
