Thinking about adding a Shed? a Deck? Some other project planned?

Effective March 12, 2025, Land Use Permits were renamed to Certificates of Zoning Compliance. Although what we now call them has changed, it is still important to make sure you apply for the necessary permitting.
Thinking about adding a shed? This DOES require a Certificate of Compliance. (replacing an existing shed also requires a Certificate of Compliance)
Thinking about building a deck? This DOES require a Certificate of Compliance?
Any interior remodeling planned? If the total cost of materials for this project is less than $15,000, you do NOT need to apply for a Certificate of Compliance. This ONLY applies to interior work and as long as you are not structurally making changes. Adding rooms, DOES require a Certificate of Compliance regardless of material cost.
The Land Use team is here to help you understand when and if a Certificate of Compliance would be needed for your planned project. Reach out to us before the work begins. If work is started without a required Certificate of Compliance being issued, After The Fact penalty will be imposed.
