Statewide Burn Ban has ended

The suspension on outside burning has been lifted, and Bristol will return to normal permitting procedures.

Please note, it remains dry and with leaf drop we are entering the traditional Fall fire season. As always, exercise caution with outside burning. If your brush pile has built up during the ban, consider burning it a little at a time, or waiting for a rainy day. The best option for large brush piles, is always to wait for snow cover (which won't be long) and burn it then.

Thank you for your understanding and compliance with the ban. Now that it is over, please make sure to come to the station for a permit, or the online system is back up and permits may be obtained that way.

Fire Chief/Fire Warden
