Blasting this week - Central Street

Blasting is scheduled at the Central Street Pump Station Project over the next 3 days

• 1 shot on Wednesday, September 3.
• 2 shots on Thursday, September 4.
• 1 shot on Friday, September 5. 

Parking at River Falls will also be restricted during this time frame, with the spaces closest to the pump station being blocked from use.  

Note the site will be well marked with highly visible signs that detail the whistle warning sequence that will be sound prior to commencement of each blast. All blasting operations will be conducted during daylight hours and no explosives will be stored at the construction site overnight.  The horn sequence is as follows: 

• 3 Long Horns - 5 minutes before the blast
• 2 Long Horns - 2 minutes before the blast
• 1 Long Horn - all clear to proceed

There may be low levels of ground vibration in the area of Central Street during the initiation of the blast.
