Public Safety Building and Police Department Information
Posted on: April 14, 2023 - 11:43am
The Public Safety Building Project is moving forward. Substantial progress has been made in April 2023 and updates, as changes are made, can found found by visiting the Town Projects page or https://www.bristolnh.gov/home/pages/public-safety-building.
The Police Department is fully moved and will be operating from a few locations, but the main location is the Town Office Building at 5 School Street. Access to the building is limited to regular business hours, but the Police Department is working to establish some additional options. In the meantime:
- If you need to speak to an officer, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm - Use the Left Entrance Door and proceed upstairs. For accessibility needs, there is also an elevator through the Right Entrance Door, which can take visitors upstairs. Once upstairs, follow the signs to the reception window, which will normally be staffed by the Police Department. If not staffed, then there are two phones on either side of the window. The RED phone is for Police Department assistance and the TAN phone is for the Executive Office (Town Administrator, Human Resources, Finance, etc.) assistance.
- The drug take-back box is also available but only during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. (See access information above)
- If you need to speak to an officer after Town Office business hours or on weekends - The Police Department is working to install a phone box outside of the building, However, until that phone is installed, please call Dispatch at (603) 744-2212
